Sex is fun and the first encounter is hopelessly awkward. What a humbling game it is to navigate intimacy with somebody else. The act is unsure and clumsy and incredibly genuine. “What are you thinking?” I’m reminded I am perpetually hard to read. Nothing is quite as world-rocking or tear-jerking than feeling misunderstood. Also, nothing feels as good as confessing my inner thoughts and secrets— maybe sex. Why the fuck is it so difficult to speak, then?
